Aside from Foreign Language Classes, Thoreau has a program that serves the Eisenhower International Language Immersion School and native French and Spanish speaking students.  Mrs. Hatter and Mrs. Gonzales  are native speakers of French and Spanish respectively.  The classes they deliver to both French and Spanish Immersion Students provide a full language program emphasizing reading, writing and grammar.  The program’s goal is to prepare these students for advanced French and Spanish classes in high school.
