Concurrent Enrollment

  1. Seniors who will complete all requirements for graduation may choose to attend college courses part of the day during their senior year. Typically students will enroll at Tulsa Community College or the University of Tulsa. (You are responsible for all fees and charges at the college.)
  2. To be eligible for concurrent enrollment you must do the following:
  3. Meet with your counselor no later than the first five days of school at BTW to insure that you meet all graduation requirements;
  4. Get a concurrent enrollment form from your counselor for TCC; and
  5. Have an official transcript that shows your ACT or SAT scores to give to TCC.

If you do not have an ACT score available, you cannot do have concurrent enrollment.

With the transcript and concurrent enrollment form, you enroll at TCC or TU and bring back to your counselor a receipt for payment of the class(es); then you can drop classes at BTW for the classes that you are taking at TCC.

  • If you take one class at college, you enroll in 5 classes here.
  • If you take two classes at college, you enroll in 4 classes here.
  • If you take three classes at college, you enroll in 3 classes here.

All seniors have to be enrolled in a minimum of 3 classes in high school.

A senior will also be required to sign a contract that states he/she will not drop any classes at TCC or TU once the concurrent enrollment has started without notifying the high school first.

If a student enrolls in first semester concurrent enrollment, a copy of his grades or transcript from first semester of TCC or TU must be on file with the high school counselor in order to enroll for the 2nd semester.

Any student who enrolls at TCC or TU and then drops the class(es), will be required to enroll in all 7 classes at BTW.

Abuse of the concurrent enrollment privilege by the student will result in the termination of the privilege.
