“Vision Statement: Zarrow International School – The School of Choice.

Mission Statement:  Language Immersion-

Robin Postier, Principal.

Zarrow International School serves elementary students from throughout the Tulsa Public Schools district in kindergarten through fifth grade with its popular Spanish immersion program.  When the students begin kindergarten, they are enrolled in Spanish.  All the lessons are conducted in that language, until second grade when English is introduced.  Students emerge as bi-lingual citizens with unlimited opportunities.  Zarrow is a child-centered learning community committed to the development of socially responsible citizens who are lifelong learners.  The curriculum and strategies used at Zarrow are based on proven, educational techniques; and on research in brain development.  Students receive instruction in fine arts, physical education, computers, technology, science, music, and the opportunity to learn the Orff instrument process.  Activities include Student Council, Safety Patrol, Scouts, and Book Club.  In addition, students may participate in a foreign exchange program in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. A breakfast program begins the day, and before and after school care is available.  Zarrow not only provides students with bi-lingual capabilities, but studies show that students involved in foreign language studies at a young age develop excellent listening skills and stronger creative thinking and problem solving abilities. In addition, students are exposed to international cultures and concepts.  The school’s namesake is Henry Zarrow, a philanthropist in Tulsa.
