Our Fine Arts Department is the recipient of the Creative Ticket School of Excellence Award in Fine Arts from the Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network. Zarrow artists have placed first three years in a row at the Levitt Art Award Exhibit. Zarrow artists have placed first and second at the Mayfest Art Exhibit three years in a row. Zarrow artists have sold artwork at the Mayfest exhibit. Zarrow art has been selected to hang in the Superintendent’s office two years in a row. Zarrow art has been selected for the Sandy Garrett Youth Arts Month Exhibit in the state capitol building two years in a row. Zarrow artists were asked to create the origami inserts for the press kits for Kids’ World Expo. Zarrow artwork has raised over $5,000 for the Hispanic American Foundation during our four years of participation. Zarrow art raised $1,000 for the Make a Wish Foundation in May 2006. And Zarrow Artists created placemats for the Meals on Wheels recipients.

Joni Green, 1^st grade teacher, received the award, “One Child, Two Languages, 25 years, 2006”, for founding Spanish Immersion in Tulsa Public Schools.
