Middle School Uniforms

Below is a listing of each middle school and the uniform students will be wearing for the 2009-10 school year.

Please note: This is a basic working list. Some schools may/may not consider hoodies or sweatshirts appropriate. Polo shirts are considered a shirt with two or three buttons with a collar. Polo shirts and oxford shirts may be long or short-sleeved. Pants must fit properly. Cargo pants/shorts are unacceptable. The term "shorts" refers to walking shorts. All schools have selected a distinct plaid for their individual sites. For example, the Byrd Middle School plaid is different than the Edison Preparatory plaid. School offices have information concerning the "proper" plaid.

No camisoles. SWEATSHIRT: Red, White or Navy Pull Over NO HOODIES OR ZIPPERED SWEATSHIRTS. Regular uniform polo shirts, turtle necks, or oxford cloth button-down shirt must be worn under the sweatshirt. The sweatshirts are for warmth and are not to take the place of the regular uniform shirt. JUMPER: Uniform Jumper Dresses may be worn with polo or white blouse underneath. Jumper must be appropriate length and size for the student. No inappropriate graphics on the shoe. No flip-flops or house shoes. BELT: PLAIN black, brown, or khaki NO LARGE BUCKLES OR DECORATIVE EMBROIDERY, BRADS, GROMMETS, SPIKES, ETC.) SOCKS: Red, white or navy blue only. Knee high socks in uniform colors may be worn with skirts.
