Middle School Uniforms

All of Tulsa Public Schools middle school students will start the year in uniforms on August 21.

Uniform apparel for all middle schoolers was approved on April 17, 2006, by the Board of Education. Since that time, middle school uniform committees have met to select the styles and colors (most in keeping with the school colors) and styles have been displayed at several school fashion shows to give students a first-hand look at what is and what is not acceptable school apparel.

Below is a listing of each middle school and the uniform students will be wearing for the 2006-07 school year.

Please note: This is a basic working list. Some schools may/may not consider hoodies or sweatshirts appropriate. Polo shirts are considered a shirt with two or three buttons with a collar. Polo shirts and oxford shirts may be long or short-sleeved. Pants must fit properly. Cargo pants/shorts are unacceptable. The term "shorts" refers to walking shorts. All schools have selected a distinct plaid for their individual sites. For example, the Byrd Middle School plaid is different than the Edison Preparatory plaid. School offices have information concerning the "proper" plaid.
