Ropes Course Technical and Practical Training
The HelmZar Challenge Course Training consists of 40 hour training, a practical training and a written exam.
This certification will be through the HelmZar (TPS) Challenge Course and will include training of high and low elements. There will be some classroom training but the majority will be hands on training in direct course operations, equipment use, course inspection, rescues, and equipment inspections to mention a few. The 40 hour training does not ensure you will have a position with the HelmZar Challenge Course.

- Element and sequences
- Designing and sequencing the elements
- Ropes, harness, and safety hardware inspection
- Knots
- Risk Management
- Policy and Procedures
- Cable Grab & Belay Systems
- Course set-up and take-down
- Belay practice and “check-off”
- Course inspection practices
- Ethics
- Conduct becoming an instructor and representing HelmZar Challenge Course
- Paper documentations and logs
- Written and Practical Test

Challenge Course Refresher Training
This is a one day MANDATORY work shop to keep each instructor up on the latest information in the field and their skills fresh. Participants will review, discuss and practice:
