Student athlete selected to participate in Team USA women's basketball national trials
Team USA Women’s Basketball selected a student athlete at Booker T. Washington High School to participate in the U17 National Trials! This summer, rising sophomore Marcayla Johnson traveled to the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs for trials.
While she wasn’t selected for Team USA, she says she loved the experience and she’ll keep practicing her sport! Marcayla says: "I had a great time competing during the U17 US Basketball Olympic Trials! l learned and grew so much as a player. It was cool meeting new players, and the coaching staff was great! I'm so grateful for the opportunity! Good luck to the team! I’ll keep working!"
