McLain High School senior Casandra Gomez: "Senior year has been very exciting for me; I’ve always looked forward for this moment! It can be a bit stressful, but don’t let the stress get in the way of your goals that you are yet to accomplish! I’m absolutely proud of myself. These last two years when COVID hit were a bit out of the ordinary. No matter what I didn’t let that affect me. I keep striving [towards] my goal, and I’m so proud of myself for accomplishing it. I managed to keep a 4.286 GPA throughout the whole year! I’m thankful for my teachers for keeping me motivated. I really appreciate y’all."
Class of 2022 senior Wendy Garcia attends Edison High School and Tulsa Tech's medical assisting program. She applied to Oral Roberts University as a first-generation college student. She was awarded The Quest Whole Leader Scholarship enabling her to get a full-ride into ORU's nursing program.
Thomas Edison Preparatory senior Lilly Gehres is a National Merit Scholar, an AP Scholar with Distinction, and an Oklahoma Academic Scholar. She is attending Kenyon College in Ohio and will receive the National Merit Kenyon College Scholarship.
