During the month of June, City Lab recently presented students with the opportunity to expand their career, leadership, and problem-solving skills! Students work in teams, collaborating with peers from neighboring schools to find and present solutions to real-world problems.
Three groups of rising 9th-12th grade students from Booker T. Washington, Central, East Central, Edison, Hale, Rogers, Tulsa Virtual Academy, and Webster high schools participated in City Lab.
On Friday, July 1, students took the stage at OU Tulsa to present their final projects to peers and school leaders and answer questions from the audience.
City Lab prepares students for life after high school by providing opportunities to think creatively and build leadership and STEM skills.
After their presentations, students were invited on guided tours of OU Tulsa's campus.
City Lab is facilitated by Tulsa Public Schools, Tulsa Community College, City Year, the Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance, and other community partners.
