Classes start on Thursday! Before the first day of school, be sure to:

  • Complete your child’s Back to School form by logging onto SmartChoice at enroll.tulsaschools.org;
  • Use this link to update your phone number, e-mail, and emergency contacts; and
  • Text "Y" or "Yes" to 67587 to make sure you get important weather and safety notices.

Make sure you’re ready for a great start to the year by visiting www.tulsaschools.org/backtoschool for information about:

  • Bell-times;
  • Student uniforms;
  • School supplies;
  • Breakfast and lunch meals;
  • Student and school safety;
  • Out of school time learning; and
  • Bus routes.

Students will continue to use Canvas this year. If you do not have your student’s login directions and credentials, please reach out to your school before the first day of classes. If you did not return your Chromebook and Chromebook charger at the end of last school year, please make sure your student brings both items with them on the first day of classes.

Back to School Events

  • Wednesday, August 17 from 9:30am-4pm: Caring Van immunization clinic at the Enrollment Center (2819 S. New Haven Ave) for incoming pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and 7th grade students who need vaccinations.
  • Saturday, August 20 from 10am-5pm: Tulsa Public Schools’ Indian Education Back to School Supply Giveaway in the Education Service Center Selman Room (3027 S. New Haven Ave.).
  • Saturday, August 20 from 10am-1pm: Back to School Bash at Oasis Fresh Market (1725 N. Peoria Ave.).

Key Dates

  • Thursday, August 18 and Friday, August 19 from 8am-6pm; Saturday, August 20 from 8am-2pm: Early voting at the County Election Board for the Oklahoma primary run-off election on August 23.
  • Tuesday, August 23 from 7am-7pm: Oklahoma primary run-off election. Visit the OK Voter Portal to learn more.
  • Friday, September 30: Free/Reduced Price Meal applications due for middle school and high school students. Students who qualify will receive meals free of charge or for a discounted price for the 2022-2023 school year. Visit www.TulsaSchools.org/FreeMeals to fill out your application.
