Dawn Hamilton is the 2025-2026 Finance team Support Professional of the Year!

Dawn joined Team Tulsa in 1997 and has served as the finance operations associate and administrative assistant to the Chief Finance Officer since 2019. We asked her a few questions to learn more about her and her time in Tulsa Public Schools.

What led you to a career in education?

I started working as a TA at the elementary school my kids attended. I loved being in the school building with the kids and staff and loved that I worked when my kids were in school/off work when they were out of school.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

I love helping people – those I work with here at ESC and those who work in the district.

What is one thing you are passionate about outside of work?

My family – four daughters and eight grandchildren.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

Working with the finance team is truly a rewarding experience. Their dedication to supporting both students and staff across the school district is evident in everything they do. They approach their work with care, integrity, and a strong sense of responsibility, always keeping the district’s best interests at heart. What makes them especially great to work alongside is their teamwork and willingness to help. They are approachable, dependable, and consistently go the extra mile to ensure resources are managed wisely and fairly. Their commitment creates a strong foundation that allows teachers, staff, and students to succeed. Being part of a team that values collaboration, transparency, and service makes every day more meaningful, and it’s a privilege to work with such hardworking and supportive professionals.
