The Tulsa Public Schools Bilingual, Immigrant, and Refugee Services team hosted its 4th annual Multilingual Parent Advisory Committee (MPAC) End-of-Year Celebration in May at the Hicks Park Community Center.
This year’s celebration welcomed over 300 people, including multilingual students and their families, who came together for an evening filled with food, music, games, hands-on activities, a photo booth, prize giveaways, and access to valuable community resources.
We were grateful for the support of our community partners and the group of dedicated volunteers, including MPAC parents and members of the Language and Cultural Services team, who helped make this year’s event a success.
The Multilingual Parent Advisory Committee (MPAC) is a group of parents and guardians of multilingual learners enrolled in Tulsa Public Schools who meet monthly during the school year to advise the district on matters that are important to multilingual learners and learn about ways they can advocate and support their children’s education.
