The 2023-2024 enrollment window has been extended to Friday, Feb. 17 due to the recent inclement weather! If your child is entering middle or high school next year, or if you are interested in exploring other schools in the district, our 2023-2024 school year enrollment window is still open! To get help enrolling, visit the Enrollment Center at 2819 S. New Haven Ave. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday from 8am-4pm or call 918-746-7500. Click here to enroll online. Be on the lookout this month for MAP assessment scores from your child’s school. The Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assessment is designed to help your child’s teachers understand your child’s academic growth so far this year. This month, if your child is in grade K-10, they will bring home results from their latest assessments. If you have questions about the results or want to learn more about your child’s growth, contact their school directly. Free tutoring supports for students in grades 3-12. Don’t forget that you can click here to sign up for weekly targeted instruction for your student in reading or math. On-demand homework help is also available to your student simply by clicking on the FEV icon on their Clever dashboard or logging in through https://portal.fevtutor.com/. For questions about FEV Tutor, please email ok@fevtutor.com or call 855-763-2607.

Events for families at the Parent Resource Center! Our Parent Resource Center, located at 525 E. 46th St. N. in the Alcott Building), provides support services to Tulsa Public Schools parents and families free of charge. These are just some of the services available:

  • Ongoing: Free tax preparation for families with an annual household income of $60,000 or less. Services by appointment only. Click here to schedule.
  • Thursday, Feb. 16 from 6-7:30pm: “Math Matters” virtual parent resource night. Click here to register online. 
  • Monday, Feb. 27 from 9-10am: Grab free breakfast while learning about stress management and the importance of sharing appreciation. Call 918-746-9676 or 918-746-9665 for more information.

Get bus schedule updates at your fingertips! The SafeStop app provides real-time updates on each school bus including current location and expected arrival time. You can download the SafeStop app from the App Store or Google Play; click here for setup instructions. Once enrolled, you can track your child’s bus routes in real time. The deadline to apply for EDGE for the 2023-2024 school year has been extended to Friday, Feb. 17! Rising 9th grade students can earn a degree and graduate early! Students entering 9th grade in the 2023-2024 school year can apply for a spot in the EDGE (Earn a Degree, Graduate Early) program at McLain High School or Memorial High School. Through EDGE, students can graduate high school with a high school diploma and an associate’s degree free of charge! 

EDGE students get the support they need to succeed in college with extra tutoring, monthly events with classmates, study sessions, and a chance to experience what it’s like to learn and grow in a college setting. You can click here to submit an application or click here for more information.

Get help completing your FAFSA so you can get free money for college or trade school! FAFSA is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and completing one is the most important thing you can do to get free money for college or advanced job training. Every high school senior should complete one! Even if you might not qualify for state or federal funding, completing your FAFSA is an application requirement for many colleges, universities, tech schools, and scholarships!
