During the evenings of March 11 and March 12, Tulsa Public Schools hosted two Indian Education workshops. The three working groups, 26 attendees, comprised of students, parents, tribal leadership and community advocates participated to discuss the strengths and challenges of the Indian Education Program in Tulsa Public Schools. Using Native American student data, community feedback, survey responses, needs assessment results, and program budgets, these stakeholders developed three proposals for the programmatic focus and organizational structure of the Tulsa Public Schools Indian Education Program for the 2020-2021 school year. As a result, we created a community-wide survey with the purpose of collecting more important feedback. We welcome parents and the community to take a few minutes to review the three proposals. The Indian Education Proposal Feedback Survey closes March 31.
