McLain junior Malachi Jackson is a cycling star. After discovering cycling in 6th grade through Bike Club, he decided to begin riding competitively. Since then, he has competed in cyclocross, mountain biking, and any other event that he has a chance to ride in. He now regularly wins the Arkansas National Interscholastic Cycling Association league races on courses he has never seen and on a borrowed bike.
His achievements so far include:

- NICA round #1 Barling, AR – 1st
- NICA round #2 Mountain Home, AR – 1st
2020
- Day 2 Ruts n Guts – 4th
- State CX (Category 3) – 1st
- State CX (Age Based 15-18) – 1st
2019
- Day 1 Kings CX – 3rd
- Day 2 Kings CX – 3rd
- Day 1 Fayette CX – 3rd
- Jingle Cross Day 2 – 8th
- MTB National – 20th
