a student gives a thumbs up on campus
Middle school students from Hale, Webster, Rogers, and Central got a taste of college life during a visit to Oral Roberts University, where they explored the campus and learned about the exciting opportunities that await them after high school.

"I didn't realize there were so many different things you could study in college," said one 7th grader from Hale. "It made me start thinking about what I might want to do."

University staff introduced students to various programs including engineering, nursing, business, and communications.

Current ORU students served as tour guides, sharing their experiences and answering questions about everything from choosing a major to campus life. Students also learned about the importance of preparing now by maintaining good grades, getting involved in activities, and developing strong study habits.

The visit helped students see that college is an achievable goal with proper planning. Learning about scholarships and support services showed them that resources are available to help them succeed.
