Paige Blackwood is the 2025-2026 Language and Cultural Services Support Professional of the Year!

Paige started working for the Indian Education team as an operations specialist in 2023. We asked her a few questions to learn more about her and her time in Tulsa Public Schools.

What led you to a career in education?

I grew up in the Indian Education program as a child. That alone led me to want to serve our Native students and families.

What is your favorite thing about your job?

My favorite thing about my job is all of the different events that we hold throughout the year, such as our Back-to-School Bash, Cultural Days, and Stomp Dance. 

What is one thing you are passionate about outside of work?

I love to spend time with my family. I also love to travel to new places.

Is there anything else you would like to share?

I love being part of Team LCS. I love seeing what the different departments within LCS are doing. It is very inspiring.
