The Tulsa Public Schools Board of Education has approved the district’s goals and guardrails focused on early and middle grades literacy and postsecondary readiness. This summer and fall, district teams, educators, students, families, and community members are working together to shape the strategies and investments that will determine how these goals are achieved.
To date, the strategic planning process has included 50+ engagement sessions with input from thousands of stakeholders across Tulsa, including students, teachers, principals, families, staff, community organizations, and civic leaders. Feedback has been collected through community meetings, student Youth Advisory Council conversations, staff meetings, surveys, and stakeholder discussions.
Our task for the future is to continue strengthening academic outcomes and college/career development opportunities for students while also identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, align resources to district priorities, and ensure long-term financial sustainability.
This page will continue to be updated throughout the process with progress updates and milestones leading up to presentation of the full strategic plan to the Board this fall.
