Dear parents and families, we want to let you know about changes coming regarding ways your school communicates with you.

In the last year, many schools have used the SchoolWay app to communicate with families about information and events. We recently received notice from SchoolWay that the app will be retired as of July 1, 2019, so our schools will no longer be able to use it. While this sudden transition is not ideal, we are fortunate to have another great app called SchoolMessenger that your school will be able to use in the 2019-2020 school year.

SchoolMessenger is a free program that allows schools to send messages, emails, calls, and text messages to parents. You can even receive "push" notifications with updates on your child's school. SchoolMessenger also automatically updates your contact information based on your child's enrollment. You can learn more about School Messenger here.

An important part of the transition over to SchoolMessenger is sending an "opt-in" text message to our families. During the week of May 20, 2019, you will receive a text message that asks you to reply "YES" to opt-in to the SchoolMessenger notification system. If you do not receive this message, it means that we do not have a working phone for you. Please contact us at TPSinfo@tulsaschools.org to ensure that we have a phone number on record for you.
