Quincy Alexander is a senior at Nathan Hale High School. He served as the team captain for the academic team this year, and they had a successful run, earning third overall and second place at one of their tournaments.
He also volunteers in the school library organizing books and helping wherever needed. He said his favorite memories of high school will be his time spend in the library working with Mr. Wills.
“It's really fun up here,” said Quincy. “At the beginning of the year, I was here in the afternoon, but then I got a job. Every Tuesday and Thursday, I try to stay up here or I pop by during advisory or in the morning.”
Quincy said his favorite class is English.
“I like to write a little bit. We read a couple of books that I hadn't had a chance to read. We finished Hamlet last semester, which was really interesting.”
This summer, he hopes to go on a cruise to celebrate his dad’s 40th birthday and then celebrate his 18th birthday with a party before he heads off to college.
He will be moving to Stillwater to attend Oklahoma State University to get a bachelor’s degree in finance. He plans to work towards his master’s degree after that and pursue a career as a financial manager.
The Nathan Hale High School graduation will take place Saturday, May 20 at 3:30 p.m. at Expo Pavilion, 4145 East 21st St.
