Since joining Phoenix Rising in January, graduating senior Zakiyah McDuffie has been shadowing different professionals to narrow down her career goals. 

“I’m considering pursuing a career in early education,” says Zakiyah. 

Zakiyah runs a small clothing design business which she began at Phoenix Rising, loving the entire creative process. She plans to grow her business while attending college. 

She has grown a lot as a person and a student because of her teachers and the calm learning environment.

Excited by the array of opportunities in front of her, Zakiyah advises next year’s seniors to start exploring career interests now.
