As a part of the Access 2 Success Trailblazers program, 8th graders from Central Middle School and Monroe Demonstration Academy recently had the opportunity to step outside the classroom and into the world of healthcare with a visit to Tulsa Tech's Health Sciences Center.

 

The field trip gave students an up-close look at the programs and hands-on training environments that Tulsa Tech offers in the health sciences field. From touring state-of-the-art facilities to learning about the variety of career pathways available in healthcare, students left with a broader understanding of what a future in the medical field could look like.

 

The experience was designed to spark curiosity and open doors for students who may be considering health-related careers. By seeing real equipment and learning from Tulsa Tech instructors and students, eighth graders were able to connect classroom learning to real-world possibilities.
