Meeting with Chief Finance and Operations Officer Jorge Robles, district finance team, and finance official from the Oklahoma State Department of Education 

Held virtually on January 3, 2024

On Wednesday, January 3, Tulsa Public Schools’ Chief Finance and Operations Officer Jorge Robles met with an official from the Oklahoma State Department of Education finance office. The meeting, the second in a newly-scheduled series of biweekly meetings, occurred virtually.  

The meeting was scheduled for 60 minutes. The Tulsa Public Schools team reviewed the layout of the documentation that was submitted before winter break, and the Oklahoma State Department of Education agreed that they would send a comprehensive list of questions once they had the chance to review the full set of documentation. The meeting adjourned after approximately 20 minutes.

The Tulsa Public Schools team appreciates the continued collaboration towards further strengthening internal controls and financial transparency. This partnership will allow the district to continue the work toward our shared objectives.

On Wednesday, January 17, Tulsa Public Schools’ Chief Finance and Operations Officer Jorge Robles met with an official from the Oklahoma State Department of Education finance office. The meeting, the third in a newly-scheduled series of biweekly meetings, occurred virtually.  

The meeting was scheduled for 60 minutes. The Tulsa Public Schools team led the discussion of the questions submitted by the State Department of Education the morning of the meeting. Tulsa Public Schools will submit additional documentation to the State, and the State Department of Education will send additional follow up questions once they have completed the review of the documentation submitted in December. The meeting adjourned after approximately 30 minutes.
