Vicki Campbell has been selected as the 2022-2023 Phoenix Rising Support Employee of the Year!

Vicki has worked at Phoenix Rising for almost 15 years. As principal's secretary, she is responsible for budgeting, ordering supplies, managing substitute teachers, tracking inventory, and so much more. 

"I wanted to make a difference in the lives of others and help where I was needed inside or outside the classroom," said Vicki. 

And Vicki has done just that. In her career in education, she has also served as a classroom aide, childcare worker, support staff substitute, paraprofessional, registrar, mentor, and job coach for special education students.

"My favorite part of my job is that everyday is a new day. I enjoy working with the different agencies that we have classrooms teachers at. I also enjoy working with staff across Tulsa Public Schools from the Enrollment Center to Student and Family Services to Maintenance and Campus Police as well as the directors and staff at Parkside, Calm Center, Laura Dester, Tulsa Juvenile Bureau, DL MOSS, Street School, Phoenix Rising, and Positive Changes."

Vicki is also a product of Tulsa Public Schools. She attended McKinley Elementary, Hamilton when it was a junior high, and graduated from Will Rogers College High School. In her free time, she volunteers with Akdar Shrine/Shriners Children’s Hospital, enjoys camping, fishing, and hiking, and spending time with her family.
