When classes resume in distance learning on Monday, January 25, all elementary students should:

  • Continue to follow their schedules and attend daily live Zooms as much as possible - participating in live classes is critical.
  • Complete the assignments provided by their teachers by Feb. 5;
    • Students who are behind will be asked to make up or complete no more than 10 assignments in English language arts and no more than 10 assignments in Math.
    • Students who are passing their classes with a satisfactory grade will have the opportunity to complete enrichment assignments as well as personalized learning.
  • Contact their teachers with questions: ask questions during classes, use the Zoom chat feature to ask questions, and use teacher office hours if they are available.
  • Use their school’s new Care and Connect hours for additional academic support and tutoring.

Your child’s teacher will be in touch starting on Monday, Jan. 25 to provide more information about expectations for your child.
