Jo Anne Flory has been selected as the 2023-2024 East Central High School Teacher of the Year!
This is Jo Anne's 26th year at East Central where she teaches AP Language and Composition, English III, and the TCC transition course. She has served as the English department lead for the eight years.
"I was initially drawn to becoming a teacher by my love of reading and writing and my desire to introduce students to experiences that instill a passion for all forms of literacy. I have come to love teaching writing and enjoy working with students to help them become better writers."
Outside of the classroom, she loves playing tennis, reading, and attending sporting events with her husband, Rob.
