McLain High School’s Ability Aces set up a coffee stand at the Education Service Center to raise money to participate in this year’s Special Olympics. Their “Coffee Cup Fridays” started in 2017 as a fundraising effort, where students would deliver coffee to teachers in their classrooms. That year, they were able to raise enough money to purchase uniforms to wear to the Special Olympics. Since then, they have participated every year, except for 2020 and 2024. They are looking forward to attending this year thanks to the hard work of the students working at the coffee stand and the support from the community!
