Navy Brings Virtual Reality Experience to Memorial High School

The United State Navy stopped by Memorial High School on Friday to share with students what they are all about. Class by class, students had the opportunity to go through their virtual reality experience to learn about different jobs in the Navy.

"Our virtual reality truck gives you a tour of how it is being a special welfare officer rescuing seals," explained Navy recruiting supervisor Natalie Brown. "It is pretty neat."

Students also had the opportunity to talk to recruiters, ask questions, and participate in a pull-up challenge. The Navy Diversity Team came to the event to tell students about their ROTC scholarship.

"The Navy is here, we are very much aware of your needs, your concerns. We want to make sure that we're here to help you," said Natalie.

Natalie said she hopes students were able to learn what Navy has to offer, from a wide range of interesting jobs to healthcare and education.

"Memorial High School is awesome," said Natalie. "The staff here is wonderful, and the students here are great."
