Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer
Tulsa Public Schools Early Childhood team offers multiple volunteer opportunities throughout the year. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the registration form below.
Volunteer Requirements
- Our team will accept volunteer ages 16 or older
- Volunteer applicants ages 18 and over must successfully pass a background check
- Must also complete the Early Childhood volunteer application
- Must also complete Tulsa Public Schools district volunteer form

What is the volunteer application process?
- Applicants must first fill out the application linked above.
- Applicants must also complete the Tulsa Public School district volunteer form and background check. This will be sent to you once you complete the application above.
- Once the application screening and background check have been completed, the applicant will be notified of approval and next steps.
Some volunteer positions may require additional steps in the application process, such as orientation, or training.
Parent Academy
The mission of the Early Childhood Parent Academy is to provide families the necessary tools and skills to build capacity and confidence in parents in order to support students academically, socially and emotionally.
All sessions are FREE and offered in English and Spanish. Sessions will be offered in Tulsa Public Schools sites or virtually.
The Early Childhood Parent Academy will focus on:
Child Development
Sessions and activities that provide strategies for parents to support their child's development
Parent Advocacy
Sessions for parents and caregivers to build their confidence in advocacy
Personal Development
Sessions to address needs in family support, financial literacy, and mental health
Parent Council
Mission Statement
The Early Childhood Parent Council is a diverse group of parents and caregivers from Tulsa that serve as a voice and give input for early childhood programs, services, and support with building strong partnerships across the district and community. Families are partners in providing high-quality, equitable services and learning experiences for all students. We respect and value all voices and perspectives with a mission of learning from each other's differences.
Purpose
- Provide Tulsa Public Schools early childhood team with feedback and insight about our early childhood programs.
- Support parents in advocating for and actively engaging in their child’s education.
