We believe...

  • The creative arts process develops new skills that benefit learning across the curriculum.

  • The arts encourage experimentation, nurture creativity, and an aesthetic sensitivity to life's experiences.

  • Every student should have the basic knowledge, skills and appreciation of the fine arts.

FINE ARTS PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

Mission

The fine arts department at Tulsa Public Schools provides students with experiences in the arts in which they can express their creativity, explore their identity, discover their passions, feel a sense of belonging, and develop skills important for success in life.

Vision

All Tulsa Public Schools students, regardless of where they attend school, will have access to a well-rounded PreK-12 fine arts education that includes visual and media art, music, drama, and dance. This fine arts education will include regular instruction in elementary school and specialized instruction at the secondary level. Additionally, the district will partner with artists and arts organizations in the Tulsa community to enrich students’ fine arts education through field trips, after school programming, performances, and more.
