Oklahoma's Promise

Oklahoma's Promise offers qualified Oklahoma students an opportunity to earn a scholarship for college tuition. By committing to stay on track academically and meeting simple eligibility requirements, students can earn a scholarship that covers tuition at any Oklahoma public college or university; a portion of tuition at a public career technology center; or a portion of tuition at accredited private Oklahoma colleges or universities. Participating in this program reduces the financial burden on families while encouraging students to focus on their education and career goals.

Tulsa Public Schools wants to ensure every option is available to students as they plan for their future. In order to be certain that Oklahoma’s Promise scholarship dollars are available to as many students as possible, completion of the application or a non-participation form is a requirement for 8th grade students moving into high school. In order for students to receive their class schedule for 9th grade in August, they must have completed the Oklahoma’s Promise application or a non-participation form. You can find more information about Oklahoma’s Promise and begin your application at www.okpromise.org.

Who May Apply? Applicants must be:

  • Oklahoma residents.
  • 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade students no later than Dec. 31 of the senior year. Homeschool students must apply before their 18th birthday. All students must apply before their official high school graduation date, regardless of grade or age.
