Tulsa Transition Academy
Tulsa Transition Academy (TTA) is a continuation of school for students who receive special education services in high school and meet the criteria to participate. Students can attend after they have graduated from high school until they turn 22.
Who may enroll in Tulsa Transition Academy?
TTA is for students who meet the following criteria:
- Received special education services while enrolled in high school.
- Participated in the alternate assessment program.
- Identified as needing lifelong support in the areas of learning, independent living, employment, and community participation.
- Obtained an alternate high school diploma.
What will students at Tulsa Transition Academy learn?
The goal of Tulsa Transition Academy is to provide a bridge from high school to adulthood for young adults with significant disabilities. Students will be enrolled in classes that teach:
- Life Skills
- Employment Skills
- Community Living Skills
Students will learn in both the classroom and in the community.
