Booster Clubs, PTA, etc.
Booster clubs, parent/teacher associations and parent/teacher organizations make valuable contributions to our schools, fostering spirit, unity, and pride. We value booster clubs and PTA organizations as partners who support our schools and athletic programs in many ways. Thank you for working with us to ensure a smooth process to identify and obtain approvals for these groups.
These organizations must obtain board approval for annual sanctioning to maintain their financial independence (deposit revenues, make expenditures) outside the district’s school activity fund system. Under Oklahoma law (Oklahoma School Code, OKLA STAT. tit. 70, § 5-129), school districts have the authority to grant sanctioned status to booster club organizations, parent-teacher associations and student achievement programs.
