What is Empower?

Empower is a dynamic professional learning experience for teacher leaders. Designed to build teachers’ expertise in rigorous content and pedagogy, Empower aims to ensure that every Tulsa Public Schools student experiences and masters challenging learning every day.  

The program, developed in partnership with Leading Educators, creates opportunities for teams of content-alike teachers to build knowledge and skills that support college and career readiness through ongoing reflection, learning and practice.
 

How can EMPOWER help me become a better teacher?

Empower is designed to foster progress across the district and is powered by the people who know their school community best: teacher and school leaders. The program positions and prepares educators to develop their peers around a set of ambitious school-level goals for students and teachers. In addition to weekly school-based learning, teacher and school leaders participate in district workshops and coaching throughout the year.
