The Foundation for Tulsa Schools is a community based 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the mission of building a better community through the support of Tulsa Public Schools. Since its formation, the Foundation for Tulsa Schools has raised more than $20 million in support of Tulsa Public Schools. Key priorities have included the support of Teacher Leader Effectiveness, Community Schools, STEM education, teacher professional development, and novice teacher supports. In 2016, the Foundation for Tulsa Schools launched “Together for Tulsa,” an individual giving campaign that raised over $1.3 million in two months to support teacher professional development and provide grants to every classroom teacher to purchase supplies and materials for students.
In January 2018, the Foundation for Tulsa Schools acquired the Partners in Education program from the Tulsa Regional Chamber. Partners in Education unites businesses and the community with schools for the common goal of increasing the quality of education for all students in Tulsa Public Schools while involving the community in the development of its own economic future. Over the past 34 years, the program has engaged thousands of volunteers and built strong relationships between more than 500 community organizations and Tulsa-area schools. The Foundation for Tulsa Schools plans to continue the impact of the program by connecting closely with individual schools and building new partnerships.
