Middle School

Tops

  • Solid Color Polo/Collared Shirts
    • 6th grade wears GRAY only
    • 7th grade wears BLACK only
    • 8th grade wears RED only
  • Vests are acceptable in addition to top

Bottoms

  • Pants, Shorts, Skirts, and Skorts
    • Colors; Black and Khaki
    • Skirts and shorts must reach fingertips or longer
    • Tights/leggings are only acceptable under skirts and/or shorts.

Outerwear

  • Sweaters, cardigans, and crewnecks are acceptable during school hours
  • Heavy coats and sweaters/jackets with hoods are to remain in lockers

Headwear and Accessories

  • No hats, durags, beanies, bonnets, caps, ski masks, and/or hoods are allowed during school hours.
  • Religious headscarves does not apply
  • No tolerance for any accessories or items with drug or alcohol references, inappropriate language, weapons or violent references, or gang insignia. Bandanas and anything containing bullet casings as decoration are also not tolerated

Footwear

  • Shoes; sneakers, sandals, boots, and crocs are allowed
    • Slides, houseshoes, slippers, and shower shoes are not acceptable

Other

  • Permitted clothing must be clean and in good shape, with no holes, wear-through, slashes, or rips
  • Undergarments (bras, underwear, boxers, etc.) should never be visible to the eye
  • No blankets are to be worn during school hours. Must stay in locker
  • Cell phones are not permitted during passing periods or in classrooms. Only acceptable before or after school

High School

Tops

  • Short sleeve, long sleeve, sweaters, polos, oxford style
    • MUST HAVE SLEEVES
    • Any color
  • Shirts must fully cover a student’s torso (including stomach, back, and shoulders)
  • Tank tops, crop tops, strapless tops, or spaghetti straps are not acceptable

Bottoms

  • Pants, slacks, shorts, joggers, cargos, jeans, skirts, and sweats
    • Leggings and biker shorts are acceptable only if derriere is covered
  • No pajama bottoms are allowed

Outerwear

  • Sweaters, cardigans, light jackets, hoodies, and crewnecks are acceptable during school hours
    • Any color
  • Heavy coats are to stay in lockers
  • Teachers may have students put their jacket/hoodie in their locker if it becomes a distraction

Other

  • Backpacks are to remain in the student’s locker at all times
    • Small handbags are acceptable in class for our female students
  • Student IDs are required to be worn at all times once they are available to the student
  • Face masks are not required; however, you are welcome to wear one
  • Administration reserves the authority to determine any specific individual garment or item is non-compliant with the dress code
  • The absence of something specifically specified is not an acceptable excuse for dressing in a manner that is opposed to, complimentary to, or respectful of the objectives outlined by this uniform policy. Students who refuse to follow the dress and grooming regulations outlined in TPS Policy 2601-R and the Tulsa Central Uniform Policy will face disciplinary procedures and/or consequences as outlined in the TPS Behavior Response Plan Student and Family Guide to Success
