Welcome to Kerr!

At Kerr Elementary School, we provide a safe environment where learning is maximized. Our teachers are constantly training to improve their practice, and they collaborate with each other in order to provide students with quality instruction every day. Students leave Kerr with the skills necessary to rise as a leader wherever their path takes them next!

High community involvement

We are fortunate and benefit from collaborating with a highly involved and supportive surrounding community. Whether we are hosting a community chili and salsa cook-off event, parent engagement nights, or Friday rallies, learning never stops here. Our school is a thriving part of the community, and we are proud to be in a neighborhood that supports our students outside of typical school hours.

Strong Community Partnerships

We depend on our community partners to thrive! One of our most active partners, QuikTrip, pays for transportation costs for an annual field trip for each grade level and provides many resources throughout the school year. In addition, volunteers from this Tulsa mainstay participate in our Reading Partners program, where students receive one-to-one literacy tutoring to help them better achieve their reading goals. Lastly, we are proud to announce that we have joined Church On The Move. They worked hard to update some key areas around the school during the summer of 2023, and we are so excited to see everything we will do together for our students.

Student Excellence

School attendance is critical to student success, and our team works hard to make students feel valued every day. We have implemented several creative approaches to get them excited throughout the year, including mid-semester pizza parties and end-of-year field trips for students who meet their attendance goals. We also host monthly character assemblies, where we discuss core values and positive character traits to provide our students with the knowledge to grow as student leaders.
