Tulsa Public Schools will provide additional academic, social, and emotional supports to all students as we shift from pandemic response to post-COVID learning experiences.
READY. SET. SUMMER!
- June - August: supporting community partners offering summer enrichment activities
- July 6 - July 30: summer programs at all elementary and secondary schools free of charge
- June - August: Summer Cafe providing meals to summer program students and children 18 and under free of charge
For elementary, middle school, and junior high students students, programming will create meaningful, fun-filled, and engaging days that include:
- Daily time devoted to connecting and building relationships (amongst students, adults, and community)
- Experiential learning through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts,and Math (STEAM) projects
- Opportunities for arts, physical activity, recreation, and enrichment activities
- Academic acceleration and intervention in literacy and math, as well as necessary credit recovery for middle school and junior high students
For high school students, programming will create meaningful, fun-filled, and engaging time that includes:
- Opportunity to engage in wraparound services inclusive of wellness, mentoring/relationship-building, career and academic exploration
- Credit recovery opportunities
- Opportunities for arts, physical activity, recreation, and enrichment activities
- Service learning projects and internships with district programming, community organizations and local businesses
