Congratulations class of 2018!

Congratulations class of 2018!

Teachers, families, and school leaders have worked hard to make sure students stay on track to earn their diplomas. Our graduation rates have increased by 14 percentage points over the last four years, and we hope to continue that trend with our newest graduates!

Emerson Montessori

Emerson Montessori

In August 2018, Emerson Elementary School will become the first public Montessori school in Oklahoma! Montessori classes are learning laboratories in which children are allowed to explore, discover, and select their own work. Emerson will serve students in pre-kindergarten through lower elementary and will expand each year through sixth grade.

Dual language and immersion programs

Dual language and immersion programs

Learning a second language at a young age is much easier than doing so later in life. Being bilingual can also increase advantages in the job market, improve problem-solving, and open up social and cultural opportunities. Tulsa Public Schools can create a smooth path for your child through our dual language curriculum and language immersion programs.

Celebrating Team Tulsa!

Celebrating Team Tulsa!

This year’s retirees and employees who reached 25, 35, 40, and 45 years of service celebrated their accomplishments at a fun event held at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum. We are so grateful to our employees for their dedication to Tulsa’s students and families! In total, this year’s honorees contributed a combined 3,921 years of service!

Our Core Values

Our diversity is a community treasure, and we must foster an inclusive environment by examining biases and resolving unfair practices. Valuing equity means that we must provide resources and supports matched to student need, for every student in every school.

We foster exuberant classrooms, schools and places of work where children and adults pursue their passions and are relentlessly curious. Play is invaluable for students and adults alike. Joy at school and at work makes us more productive, because when we create, innovate and imagine, our motivation grows.
